WOW! I totally didn't realize it's been nearly 3 months since my last update. I never really sit down at the computer long enough to do anything besides check my email these days.

First of all, keep Chris's dad and family in your prayers. His dad was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday for what they thought was pneumonia. 24 hours later they found out that it wasn't pneumonia, but he had had a  heart attack sometime in the past week. They did a 5 bypass surgery Wednesday night, and they also removed a liter of fluid from each lung due to congestive heart failure. He was a walking time bomb basically. Thankfully the surgery went well and he hasn't had any problems in recovery so far. It's been a rough 2 days on the family as well as him. Please keep everyone in your prayers. God works in mysterious ways - he gave him a cough that nagged him enough to go to the hospital where they caught something life threatening before anything worse happened.

Other news - our kitty Lucy (not the kitty mentioned in the entry before) is doing very well. She's a 1 year old long haired gray and white cat. We adopted her from the animal shelter on September 11, and she's the perfect addition to our family. I'll post pictures soon.

Speaking of additions... my sister is having a little boy! We found out the sex on Tuesday. She's due April 18, and the newest name floating around for him is Brady Lee Price. I'll keep you updated. :)

Chris got a new car as an early Christmas present. It's a Scion Tc and it's sweet! We traded in the good ol' Blazer.

Work is still going well. If you need an apartment in Cobb or north Fulton just let me know!

I hope everyone else is well and has a safe, happy, love filled Christmas if I don't get the chance to update before then.

2 months later... you're getting an update from me.

First of all -- welcome back to school all you Shorter folks. It feels weird not to be there in the dorms after reading some of your xangas.

The wedding was amazing. I'm still working on putting up pics from it and the honeymoon. They'll be on my yahoo profile thing.

We've gotten 4 fish over the course of 2 months... all of them died! :(

Now we're getting a kitty!! (i hope at least.) We put in an application for this sweet 4 month old kitty named selena (we're changing the name) at petsmart a few minutes from us over here. she's the perfect lap kitty and so sweet! keep your fingers crossed that we get a phone call about her today or tomorrow. i can't wait any longer!

we've had a lot of hurricane escapees come to work looking for a place to live -- too bad i have to turn many of them away. i hope they find somewhere! please keep them in your prayers. they have some amazing stories, and they've left everything they've ever known.

married life is great. i highly suggest it. there's nothing like spending your free time with your best friend every single day!

i do miss everyone though. it seems like everyone is in mississippi (when they're not getting flooded out of house and home) or in rome. call me!! come see me!! it gets lonely around here sometimes! :)

I'M GOING TO THE HANSON CONCERT OCTOBER 18!! YAAAAAAAAY!

I've  been meaning to update for 2 months and never got the chance, so now nothing seems as detailed as it should be. maybe something better will strike me later so i can write something meaningful in here. until then... i'm meeting mom at olive garden for lunch and then a day o' shopping.

well the wedding is only 16 days away. i'm starting to get butterflies. we went to the magnolia house today to finish up final decisions of table arrangements, picking out the cake, etc. the only thing left to do is plan the order of the ceremony. i'm starting to get excited now that the stress of planning and decision making (and we know i DON'T make decisions) is over and i can see the pretty light at the end of the tunnel.  i think it's going to be beautiful. chris and i have the new apartment completely decorated now. as i'm typing this he's putting up some new bookshelves we got at IKEA (the greatest coolest most wonderfulest store in the whole wide world) tonight. you should come visit us. :) we like visitors. work is going great. i have the best job in the world for me and i work with the coolest "family" of people. being friendly to rude people all day is tough sometimes,  but i'd rather it be me having to take it than someone else. the nice people that come through during the day make it all worthwhile. if you need an apartment in the cobb/fulton area let me know! if you think i've been ignoring you online lately i promise i haven't! my screen name stays on but i'm in front of the computer about 3 minutes every morning before work to check my email and that's about it. i do still love all of you, and i'm sorry i'm not keeping in touch like i should. if you need me, i'm still here. only a hop, skip, and jump away from most of you! well... that's all for now.

hello world! time for the monthly update i suppose.

it's been a busy month. last week i got 6 leases (that's a pretty big accomplishment for someone who's only been doing it about 6 weeks). wedding plans are...going. i'll be glad when it's all over and i can enjoy being married and not having my "off days" from work planned with wedding mess. i go for my final dress alterations/fitting tomorrow. let's hope everything fits right. ellen's coming over tomorrow too. that's exciting!

chris and i have 2 new fishies  they are guppies and oh so precious. one is named Norm (so chris can go NOOORRM *like from cheers*) and the other one is Guapo because he's just too handsome to be named anything else. i'll post pics of them once this computer decides to like my digi cam software.

i hope everyone out there is doing well. i do still love you i promise!

my paw-paw is 86 today and still kickin. he's still a funny old man.

i'll update more later. time to go make a grilled cheese sandwich!

I've been on a roller coaster of emotions the past few weeks. I thought the world was going to end when graduation was over. Thank God it hasn't. I moved out of the dorm May 1 at 5 pm and started work fulltime at 9:30 am Monday. No summer break at all for me. Work is going ok though. The more I learn about it, the more I like it. I'm not a fan of answering the phone only to be bitched out by someone for something someone did/didn't do for them when it wasn't my fault. Of course y'all know I'd rather take it than make someone else.  The people I work with are amazing. I think I'm with the best group of Walton people around (besides Jennifer of course).

My sister lost her baby two weeks ago. Well actually a baby never formed. That's been a tough situation for my family, but I'm glad she and Marc are so strong.  We all know God has a reason for things like this. They can start trying again in a few months, so please keep them in your prayers!

The wedding is nearly 2 months away.  Living with Chris 95% of the time has been amazing. I like having someone to come home to at night.

This whole growing up thing is interesting... we had a new girl start at work on my first day. Her name is Layla and she's 26 and I think we'll be great friends. She got transfered to Walton River, but I still see her once a week at sales meetings. It's nice to have a newbie like me that's young.

Well kiddos -- time for another day of work!
